Naoko Miya

Naoko Miya lives and works in Tokyo, born in Osaka. While still at the university of Doshisha, she became a leading actress in a theatre company “Sotobakomachi”, appearing in over 100 plays of various sizes.

At the age of 23, she made her full-fledged drama debut as Matsuko, the first love of the main character in NHK's morning drama series "Ichiban Taiko". Since then, she has appeared in many plays, dramas, films, variety shows, radio programs, and commercials.

She has played a variety of roles, from comedy to serious, from a benevolent mother to a devilish woman. She is fluent in Osaka dialect and likes to wear kimonos.
