Spica Yufune

Spica was named after the first magnitude star in the constellation Virgo by her father, who loved astronomy. After her father, who had raised her single-handedly, died when she was 15 years old, it was the theater that brought her back to the heart she had lost. Movies, plays and the theater were her salvation. After acting in college and small theaters, she went to an acting studio to hone her acting skills and is now working in films and dramas.

She sometimes appears in films of directors she meets at film festivals, and consults with them on casting for her own films. On her days off, she spends her time doing Pilates. She spares no effort to make a good film.
